If I ever happen to write an autobiography, the period from December 2006 – January 2007 would go down as the “Dilbert” phase of my life!

I had purchased the book “The Dilbert Principle” in one of my random visits to Crossword. It was probably the ideal time for me to read it. I was six months into my job and like most of my friends in the IT Industry (who had joined 6 months back!), I was beginning to get a little bothered by the monotony surrounding work life or at least “IT” life.

Enter Dilbert. I drowned my drudgery in him, immersed all my sorrows by taking a dip in Dilbert. Anyway, the reason I am writing this post is what I just came across. The book in question is actually used in B-schools as a management reference book for certain courses in certain universities! Among them:

  • University of California, Berkley
  • University of Colorado
  • University of Maine
  • Southern Methodist University
  • Washington State University

Hats off to Scott Adams! His satirical strip has gained iconic status!

Here’s one of my favourite Dilbert strips. This one actually features Dogbert, Dilbert’s wiser-than-all companion dog.
